The annual meeting is an outstanding teaching forum with emphasis on practical, clinical information that can immediately be put into practice. An outstanding faculty chosen for their teaching ability and dedication to the CMRS mission will discuss expanded applications, appropriate protocols and new developments.

----Target Audience
This CME activity is primarily intended and designed to educate diagnostic imaging physicians who supervise and interpret MRI studies and technologists who perform MRI. However, this CME activity should also be useful for referring physicians who order these studies so that they might gain a greater appreciation of the strengths and limitations of clinically relevant MRI studies.

----Vendor Presentation Forum
A special feature of this year’s program is our Vendor Presentation Forum. The Vendor Presentation Forum is an opportunity for the registrants to hear about the new developments and cutting-edge technology from a select number of vendor representatives. Please plan to join us from 9:30 - 10:40 a.m. on Friday, June 27th for this special session.

----Accreditation
Physicians: Educational Symposia is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.
Educational Symposia designates this educational activity for a maximum of 27 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Certain sessions of the meeting program will be submitted to the ABR for SAM qualification. The number of SAM credits will be available approximately 21 days prior to the meeting.
Technologists: This program has been submitted to the ASRT. The number of A CE credits will be available approximately 30 days prior to the meeting.
Please visit www.cmrs.com or call 1-800-350-CMRS regarding the availability of Category A CE/and or SAM credit.

----Educational Objectives
Attendees should, at the completion of this course, be able to:

Describe the physical principles of basic and advanced MRI/MRA and use those principles to enhance image quality

Evaluate cardiac pathology using state-of-the-art MR/MRA imaging techniques

Recognize the appearance of common CNS pathology on MRI and distinguish that pathology from normal anatomy

Evaluate the use of MRI in the assessment of breast pathology

Evaluate musculoskeletal and organ pathology utilizing MRI/MRA as a non-invasive method of early diagnosis

Discuss socio-economic issues affecting diagnostic radiology and their impact in clinical practice

No special educational preparation is required for this CME activity.

----Dedicated Track for Technologist Attendees
This year the Program Committee has once again designed a dedicated track for the technologist attendee. Technologist sessions, led by both physician and technologist faculty members, have been expanded and will be offered on all four days of the meeting.

----Faculty With Program Director
Attendees should, at the completion of these sessions, be able to:

Incorporate state-of-the-art MRI/MRA imaging techniques to evaluate the heart and coronary arteries

Discuss musculoskeletal imaging techniques

Evaluate current techniques and pitfalls for MR of the breast

Describe common pitfalls and artifacts encountered with MR providing means to overcome/eliminate artifacts

Evaluate current requirements of the MR registry exam and formulate a preparation strategy

Optimize MR throughput and safety protocols
No special educational preparation is required for this CME activity.

----Faculty With Program Director
Mark H.
